Who we are
i2PDF is operated by Sciweavers LLC, USA. This policy covers our website and its document tools, including editing, conversion, organization, extraction, OCR and translation. For privacy questions and requests, contact admin@sciweavers.org.
You do not need an account, password or subscription to use the service. Visiting a website still involves some technical information, even when you never upload a file.
Information we handle
- Content you choose to process: files, filenames, pasted text, source code, tables, website URLs, selected pages or areas, tool settings, and document passwords where a tool needs them.
- Technical and security information: IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referral information, request times, processing errors and usage needed to prevent abuse and operate the service.
- Messages you send us: your email address and information included in a support or privacy request.
- Advertising information, when ads are enabled: cookies or similar identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, and information about ad views or interactions.
What happens to your documents
Tools that run on your device process document content in your browser. Server tools send the content needed for their work to our processing systems. The tool page describes its processing mode.
An upload can happen when you open a file or request a preview, not only when you press Start. For example, font and text extraction may begin after file selection, and some document previews are generated on the server.
Our own servers handle OCR and translation. Depending on the selected feature, a document, page image, selected region or extracted text is processed, together with settings and technical request information. Translation and AI OCR are not guaranteed to be error-free.
The conversion router can temporarily store your selected file in your browser to pass it to the matching tool. This handoff itself does not upload the file. The destination tool then follows its own processing mode.
We use submitted content to provide the operation you request and to address processing or security problems. We do not share your files or their contents with third parties, including advertising partners, or use them to train AI models.
Why we use information
We use information to deliver requested tools and downloads, remember preferences, respond to messages, keep the service reliable, prevent fraud or misuse, and meet legal obligations. Advertising helps support access without registration.
For these service activities, the legal bases, where required, are providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in security and reliable operation, and compliance with applicable legal obligations.
Temporary files and retention
All uploaded input files, temporary working files and generated output files are deleted from our servers within 30 minutes after processing finishes. Files may be deleted sooner when a task completes.
This is a processing service, not document storage or backup. Save your result before closing the page. Copies you download remain under your control on your own device.
Security records, operational logs and correspondence are separate from temporary documents. We keep them for as long as needed for their purpose, including investigating abuse, resolving a request or meeting legal requirements.
Browser storage has different lifetimes. Appearance preferences remain until changed or cleared. A file handoff is single-use and expires after five minutes; expired records are removed when the handoff storage is next cleaned, or when you clear site data. See our Cookie Policy.
Services and other recipients
Our document-processing systems, including OCR and translation services, are operated by Sciweavers LLC. Hosting and technical support services may handle operational information needed to run the website, such as technical logs. This is separate from submitted files and their contents.
We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to a lawful request, or to protect people and the service against abuse. In a business reorganization, information may transfer with the service, subject to the protections and notices required by law.
Opening a website URL for conversion can contact that website. HTML or other supported content may also cause permitted public images or styles to be retrieved. External websites and advertising services have their own privacy practices.
Google AdSense and advertising
We plan to support i2PDF with Google AdSense. When Google ads are enabled, Google and other participating vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads. Where permitted and subject to your choices, advertising may be based on visits to this and other websites.
Advertising partners can receive technical information such as IP address, browser information and identifiers associated with ad requests. Learn more in How Google uses information from partner sites and Google’s Privacy Policy.
You can manage Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings. For visitors in European regions where consent is required, advertising consent is handled through Google’s consent management platform (CMP). Non-personalized ads can still involve cookies for purposes such as security, measurement or frequency limits; they are not necessarily cookie-free.
Advertising-related disclosures may count as a sale or sharing of personal information under some privacy laws even without a payment for that information. Where applicable, you may request to opt out. Our Cookie Policy explains storage and available ways to manage it.
Security and international processing
We use measures such as private working storage, request checks, file validation and processing limits to reduce risk. No website or transmission method can guarantee complete security. Submit documents only when you are authorized to do so, and assess whether this service is suitable for highly sensitive or regulated information.
Sciweavers LLC is based in the United States. Hosting, processing and advertising may involve other countries whose privacy rules differ from those where you live. Applicable legal protections for international transfers continue to apply. Contact us before submitting content if you need details about processing locations or specific safeguards.
Privacy questions and requests
For privacy questions or requests about personal information we still hold, such as correspondence or operational records, contact admin@sciweavers.org. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion, or object to its use. Deleted files cannot be recovered.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Older minors should use the service with appropriate parent or guardian permission.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change and show the revision date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice before a material change takes effect. Our Terms of Use explain the conditions for using the tools.
