Trim edges applies a fixed 7.5% margin on each side; it does not detect white space or page content automatically. Square creates a centered square selection based on the page currently shown. Reset also returns to Full page. Reset and preset changes follow the Apply to all pages setting, so check its state before changing them.
Keep Apply to all pages on for matching relative margins. Switch it off to give individual pages their own crop, without removing or reordering any pages.
Apply to all pages is enabled by default and uses the same relative margin percentages throughout the PDF. Turn it off to choose individual crops; pages without an individual crop keep their original visible area. All pages remain in the download, in their original order. For mixed page sizes or orientations, inspect each page: identical percentages do not produce identical dimensions, and a square chosen on one page may not be square on another.
