Use Unlock PDF with the required password. Our example removes protection from the four-page file created in the Protect PDF example.
Choose the protected document
Open the tool and choose the PDF. An encrypted file may not show its normal preview until access is available.
Enter the required password
Enter the password needed to open the document. If the file has only permission restrictions, the required credential depends on its protection settings. The tool does not recover an unknown password.
Save and reopen the unprotected copy
Choose Start and download. Close the protected version and open the new file separately. Confirm that it opens without asking for the former password, then review its pages.
Our output contains four pages and no encryption filter. The page artwork is unchanged.
