Open Watermark PDF and add a stamp, text or image to your document. Our example uses the Draft stamp with its diagonal layout, outline and low opacity.
Choose a text stamp or image
Add the PDF and open Stamp. Choose Draft for the demonstrated result, or enter your own wording. Review the font and color before placing it.
For the example, keep Outline and Diagonal selected and the opacity at 20%, then choose Add stamp. To use a logo, add a PNG or JPEG image instead.
Adjust placement and page scope
Move and resize the placed watermark. Adjust its angle and Opacity so that it stays visible while allowing the underlying document to be read. Check pale illustrations and small text in particular.
A watermark starts on the current page. To repeat it, select it and use Apply to pages, choose the desired pages and review the copies. Pages with different dimensions may need different placement.
Download and inspect the PDF
Choose Start and download the PDF. Open the saved document to verify the wording, transparency and page coverage.
Text stamps remain selectable PDF text unless Render as image is selected. Uploaded logos are images; use a sharp source image if you need a large watermark.
Common questions
How do I keep the watermark readable without obscuring the page?
Start with a short word or compact logo, reduce opacity and position it where it crosses as little important content as possible. Inspect the downloaded PDF at normal reading size.
Can I put the watermark on only some pages?
Yes. Use Apply to pages to select all, odd, even or a custom range of pages. Check the chosen destinations before saving.
