Features and controls

Start directly or review first

Start detects blank pages automatically; Find blank pages lets you inspect the choices before saving.

How it works

Open one PDF up to 100 MB and 200 pages. The thumbnail sidebar appears on the left immediately, loading nearby previews as needed. Click Start to detect blank pages and prepare the result in one step.

The light-blue Find blank pages button scans every page again and replaces previous checkbox choices with fresh detection results. Review the checkboxes, then click Start to use those choices. Changing the tolerance makes the next Start run detection again while respecting your manual choices.

Allow for small scan marks

Choose strict detection or allow a little background noise.

How it works

Strict mode permits no dark pixels. The other settings allow 0.05% or 0.2% dark-pixel coverage in the analysis image. Each page is rendered at a bounded analysis size. Pages containing selectable text or form widgets are protected from automatic selection.

This is visual detection, not a semantic judgment. Dark borders can prevent an empty scan from being selected. Faint or tiny content may need review; use Find blank pages first when a document needs careful checking.

Review the thumbnail sidebar

Click a page to preview it; use its checkbox to choose removal.

How it works

The active preview and removal choice are separate: a highlighted page number identifies the preview, while a checkbox and Remove label mark deletion. Uncheck a suggested page to keep it, or check another page manually.

Thumbnails remain in the sidebar when you change the tolerance. Start respects manual choices, even when it needs to detect pages again. Find blank pages deliberately starts a fresh review and clears previous manual choices. Use the reset icon to clear the choices and restore strict detection.

Download the result or keep the original

No selected removals means the original PDF is returned unchanged.

How it works

If no blank pages are found and you have not marked another page, Start still completes and makes the original PDF available for download. The same applies when you uncheck all removal candidates. If every page is selected, the first page is kept so the PDF remains valid.

When pages are removed, the retained pages are copied in their original order without rasterizing the whole document. Supported form values are flattened; document bookmarks and interactive form behavior are not carried into this page-only copy. The original-file fallback does not rewrite the file. Keep your source if you may need to restore removed pages.

FAQ

A few useful answers

Know what to expect before you start.

On your device
Why was an apparently blank page kept?

Dark borders, marks, selectable text or form fields can prevent automatic selection. Preview the page and mark it manually if you are sure it is unnecessary.

Can it delete every page?

It keeps at least one page. If all pages are marked for removal, the first is retained automatically. A one-page file is returned unchanged.

Do I need to click Find blank pages before Start?

No. Start detects and removes blank pages directly. Use Find blank pages if you want to review the suggested checkboxes first. Start then respects your reviewed choices.

What happens if no blank pages are found?

The process still completes. If no pages are marked for removal, the original PDF is available to download without being rewritten.

Can I keep a blank page or remove another page manually?

Yes. Click a thumbnail to preview it and use its checkbox to mark removal. Unchecking a candidate keeps it when you click Start, including after changing tolerance. Clicking Find blank pages runs a fresh scan and replaces the previous manual choices.
