Reduce PDF file size by optimizing images and PDF content for sharing or storage. Choose a quality preset, image resolution and color mode. Image-heavy documents often have more room for reduction than already optimized or mostly textual files. Compare the downloaded result with your original. If compression produces a larger file, the smaller input copy is returned instead.

Grayscale is useful when color is unnecessary. Compare fine print and diagrams with the original. If the generated file is larger, the tool returns the smaller input copy instead.

Page ranges and numbering
Use PDF positions, starting at 1, rather than numbers printed on the page. A list such as 1, 3-5 includes four pages. A blank range uses every page. Check the preview when the document includes a cover or differently numbered chapters. Only the chosen pages are included in this conversion.

When compression cannot save space
The converter rewrites the PDF and optimizes images; it does not intentionally turn every page into a screenshot. If its candidate is not smaller, the service returns the prepared source or selected-page copy instead and reports that there was no reduction. A selected page range is still only that range, even when compression cannot improve its size.

Select Start when the settings are ready. On the result screen, Preview opens the generated PDF and Download saves a separate copy. Back returns to the current workspace; Start over clears it for a new file. Review small text, page edges and page order in the finished copy. A new PDF does not preserve the validity of an existing digital signature.

Processing uses our servers. Source files, temporary files and results are deleted from our servers within 30 minutes after processing finishes. We do not share document contents with third parties or use them to train AI models.
