Create PDF Bookmarks adds navigation entries inside the PDF. Our example creates Overview, Workshop, Schedule and Notes bookmarks for pages 1–4, while keeping the four-page document.
Open the PDF and inspect its navigation
Choose your PDF. Supported existing bookmarks are imported into the list. Our source has none, so the tool supplies an initial Introduction entry to edit.
Name the entries and select destinations
Rename the first entry Overview and keep its destination at page one. Preview page two, choose Add bookmark and enter Workshop. Repeat for Schedule on page three and Notes on page four.
Use Choose a destination page to select a page directly, or Use current page to target the page in the preview. Titles should tell a reader what they will find.
Arrange the bookmark structure
Keep the example’s four entries at the top level. For a longer document, choose a parent under Nest under to group subsections. Move entries with the up/down controls and remove any you do not need.
Changing bookmark order does not reorder PDF pages. Review both the title and its destination after reorganizing the list.
Save and test in a PDF viewer
Choose Start and download. Open the viewer’s bookmarks or outline panel and click each entry. Our result contains four bookmarks targeting pages 1, 2, 3 and 4; its page count remains four.
