FAQ

A few useful answers

Know what to expect before you start.

On your device
Which attachments can I extract?

Files embedded in the document or attached as page annotations are listed. External hyperlinks do not contain downloadable file bytes.

Why is my attachment list empty?

The PDF may have no embedded files, or its viewer may show external links or unsupported structures as attachments. Try a PDF that stores files directly inside it.

Is opening an extracted attachment safe?

The tool packages file bytes without executing them. Treat any file from an untrusted PDF as an untrusted download and open it only with software you trust.

Are my files uploaded for this tool?

Document processing and PDF generation run in your browser on your device. This tool does not upload the document for processing. Save your result before closing or reloading the page; the original file on your device is unchanged.
