Clear a personal author name or application details before sharing a project copy.
Clear hidden document properties. Keep your pages intact.
Document properties are removed from the whole PDF. The page content is kept.
You can still download a cleaned copy. Information written on the pages is not metadata.
Long values are shortened here. Removal clears the complete property.
This is the original page. Removing metadata does not change the visible content.

Remove metadata and download the checked copy.
A PDF metadata remover clears document properties such as author, title, software names and dates. Review the detected entries, remove standard XMP metadata and download a checked copy while keeping your page content.
Clear a personal author name or application details before sharing a project copy.
Remove document properties for a review process, then separately check the pages and comments for identifying information.
Remove titles, keywords and dates inherited from an old template without recreating the pages.
See the author, title, dates and custom fields before clearing them.
The Properties tab lists entries stored in the standard PDF document-information dictionary. This includes custom keys as well as common properties. Dates are shown as stored in the PDF, which can use a compact format and a time-zone suffix.
The counters also show XMP references and the presence of a file-identifier entry. XMP is removed without opening its XML content in the page. Long property values are shortened for display only; the complete property is removed.
Clear properties, XMP references and the PDF file identifiers in one operation.
Remove metadata clears the document-information dictionary, including author, creator, producer, creation and modification dates and custom properties. It also removes standard Metadata references on the document, pages and resources, together with the trailer file identifiers.
The app writes a new PDF and removes unreachable objects rather than applying an incremental update. It then reopens the result and checks that these metadata entries are absent. Each XMP counter represents a reference, not the number of XML fields inside it.
The operation does not flatten text, images or form fields.
The PDF tab lets you check the original pages using thumbnails, page controls and zoom. Removing metadata does not intentionally change text, pictures, vector graphics, comments, links, bookmarks or saved form values. Arabic and other writing systems remain as they were in the source.
This is not redaction or full anonymization. Names inside page text, annotation authors, attachments and application-specific private data are outside the removal scope. Use a suitable related tool when those are the information you need to remove.
Your uploaded original stays unchanged.
After processing, Download saves the rewritten PDF and Preview opens the result. Back returns to the metadata review, while Start over lets you choose another file. A PDF with no detected metadata can still be saved as a cleaned copy.
Rewriting a signed PDF invalidates existing digital signatures. Removing XMP also removes metadata required for PDF/A. Keep an original signed or archival copy and do not treat the downloaded file as preserving those certifications.
No document upload is needed for inspection or removal.
The file is inspected and rewritten in a browser worker. Standard PDF parsing is used; embedded scripts and document actions are not executed. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked before use.
Very complex files, exceptionally large properties or long-running operations may be rejected. Download the result before closing the tab. For selective changes instead of complete property removal, use Edit PDF Metadata.
Open one PDF up to 100 MB and 750 pages. Additional output, memory and processing limits can apply to complex documents.
Processing takes place on your device without uploading the document. Download your result before closing the page; keep the original separately.

No. Visible page content, annotations, attachments and form answers are kept. Metadata removal is not a substitute for redaction or removal of annotation authors.
Yes. It removes standard embedded Metadata references on the document, pages and PDF resources. The saved result is checked for remaining references before a download is offered.
Yes. Removing document properties does not require selectable text. Scanned pages and Arabic content are preserved without OCR or rasterizing the pages again.
No guarantee is made. Saving the changed PDF invalidates existing digital signatures, and deleting XMP removes metadata required by PDF/A. Keep the original when signature or archival compliance matters.
Your operating system records filesystem dates for every downloaded file. Those dates are separate from the creation and modification dates stored inside the PDF.
No. Inspection, removal and output checks run in your browser. Download the cleaned copy before closing the tab.
