How to convert PowerPoint slides to PDF

Practical ways to use this tool

Educators

Distribute slide handouts

Create static PDF pages for a class or meeting. Motion and interactive presentation features do not carry over as playback.

Students

Submit a PDF copy

Use a PDF when a course or upload portal asks for a fixed-page version of your PowerPoint file.

Teams

Review the exported pages

Keep the source document for future changes and inspect the PDF for missing fonts, clipped content or unexpected page breaks.

Features and controls

Convert PowerPoint to a static PDF

Convert PPT, PPTX or ODP presentations into a shareable PDF.

Source layout and output behavior

The PDF is a static representation of the presentation. Animations, transitions, video playback and interactive presentation behavior do not become working PDF slides. Review fonts, diagrams, slide dimensions and any missing embedded content after conversion. Keep the source file for future slide editing.

Check the source file

Use the accepted format and keep required resources with the document.

Input requirements and failed conversions

The filename extension must match the actual file type. Renaming an unrelated file does not convert it. Keep any required resources available within the document, and use an unencrypted file you are authorized to process. Processing can fail on damaged, unsupported or unusually complex content even when its byte size is within the upload limit.

Check fonts and pagination

The exported PDF reflects the layout the converter can reproduce.

Layout differences to check

Missing fonts, unsupported effects, embedded objects and complex layout can change appearance. Open Preview after conversion and inspect important pages, symbols and line breaks. The tool creates a PDF for reading and sharing; it does not provide the full editing controls of the source application or guarantee identical output from every document.

Review your finished PDF

Preview the result before downloading and sharing it.

Preview, download and revise

Select Start when the settings are ready. On the result screen, Preview opens the generated PDF and Download saves a separate copy. Back returns to the current workspace; Start over clears it for a new file. Review small text, page edges and page order in the finished copy. A new PDF does not preserve the validity of an existing digital signature.

FAQ

A few useful answers

Know what to expect before you start.

Temporary server processing
Should I format my PowerPoint file before converting it?

Yes. Finish slide size and content in the presentation first. The PDF is a static copy, so check fonts and placement and keep the PPTX for animations or later edits.

Will animations and videos work in the PDF?

The PDF is a static representation of the presentation. Animations, transitions, video playback and interactive presentation behavior do not become working PDF slides. Review fonts, diagrams, slide dimensions and any missing embedded content after conversion. Keep the source file for future slide editing.

Why can fonts and page breaks change during conversion?

Missing fonts, unsupported effects, embedded objects and complex layout can change appearance. Open Preview after conversion and inspect important pages, symbols and line breaks. The tool creates a PDF for reading and sharing; it does not provide the full editing controls of the source application or guarantee identical output from every document.

Which files and sizes are supported?

Supported input: PPTX, PPT, ODP; up to 10 MB per file. Generated PDFs have no fixed page-count or file-size cap. Input and processing limits still apply.

Where is my document processed?

This tool uses our servers for processing. Your original file is not overwritten; the result is a separate download. Preview and review the result where available, and download the copy you need before starting over.
