PDF Form Data to Excel turns saved interactive form fields into a spreadsheet you can review, sort and edit. Preview the answers first, locate fields in the source PDF, then export the whole form as rows or columns.
Collect contact details, reference numbers and saved choices without retyping the answers.
Export fields as rows to check values, empty fields and the internal names used by a template.
Preserve Arabic and mixed-language values as editable spreadsheet text, including multiline answers.
See a spreadsheet preview, then jump to a field on its PDF page.
The Data tab opens first with the saved answers from the whole PDF. Click a blue field name to show its first page location with a blue outline. Page thumbnails and navigation help you check the source; return to Data to continue.
The preview is read-only and paginated for long forms. Every included field is exported, including fields on other preview pages. Empty table cells are shown with a dash in the preview; the downloaded cell remains empty. Long values are shortened in this preview. The complete value is included in the download.
Create a field list for review or a single record for a data table.
Fields as rows is the default. Each row contains a field label, saved value, field type, page references and the complete internal field name. A repeated field with several widgets appears once, with its page references combined.
Fields as columns puts the form into one record and uses full field names as column headers. Duplicate names receive a numeric suffix so columns remain distinct. This tool accepts one PDF at a time; it does not combine submissions from several forms.
Preserve Unicode, multiline values, leading zeros and choice labels.
Use readable choice labels is enabled by default. It exports display labels when a choice field provides them and shows checkboxes as Checked or Unchecked. Turn it off to keep the stored values. Multiple selected options share one cell, separated by line breaks.
Arabic values remain Unicode text. Excel cells are written as text, so a reference such as 001204 keeps its zeros and a saved date keeps its original spelling. The Arabic interface creates a right-to-left workbook. Numbers are not automatically converted into numeric spreadsheet cells.
Use saved interactive fields, including supported fields in split PDFs.
The tool reads standard PDF text fields, checkboxes, radio groups, dropdowns and lists. Include empty fields starts enabled; switch it off to omit unanswered text and choice fields. An unchecked checkbox remains an answer. Supported read-only fields can be exported without unlocking or editing them.
Ordinary page widgets can be recovered even if a page-splitting tool removed the root form list. Password fields, file-selection fields, signatures, action buttons, unsupported field types and fields marked not to export are skipped. XFA forms are rejected with a clear message. Scans, printed answers and flattened fields are not interactive data.
Use Excel for formatting or CSV for a plain data interchange.
Excel creates an XLSX workbook with a blue header, alternating row shading, wrapped text, a frozen header and a filter. CSV keeps a plain UTF-8 table. Formula-like CSV values are escaped; Excel values are literal text, with no imported formulas, scripts or active links.
Your PDF is processed in your browser and is not uploaded. The tool reads saved values; it does not run PDF calculations or JavaScript, validate digital signatures, or change the original file. Limits are {max_size} per PDF, 750 pages, 5,000 fields and 32,767 characters per cell. Very complex forms or unusually large total text may require a smaller file.
Open one PDF up to 100 MB and 750 pages. Additional output, memory and processing limits can apply to complex documents.
One PDF per run, up to 5,000 supported fields and 32,767 characters per cell. Additional text and complexity limits protect the browser.
Processing takes place on your device without uploading the document. Download your result before closing the page; keep the original separately.
Know what to expect before you start.
On your deviceYes, if the answers are saved in supported interactive PDF fields. Open the form, review the Data tab and choose Excel. The result is a real XLSX workbook; it does not reproduce the visual page layout.
A scanned, printed or flattened form may look fillable while containing no interactive fields. This tool reads field data rather than recognizing text. Use PDF OCR for scanned text or Extract Tables from PDF for selectable tables.
No. XLSX values are stored as text, so 001204 remains 001204. CSV applications can infer number types when opening a file; import identifier columns as text, or use the Excel output.
Yes. Arabic values remain Unicode text, and the Arabic interface creates a right-to-left workbook. Multiple selected list values occupy one cell on separate lines. Readable choice labels can be replaced with the stored values using Settings.
The name is the PDF form’s internal identifier. The row layout shows a friendly tooltip when the form supplies one, alongside the full field name. The column layout uses full names so records can be matched consistently.
Supported read-only field values can be exported. Digital signatures, password fields, action buttons, file-selection fields and fields marked not to export are skipped. The tool does not unlock a field or verify a signature.
Often, yes. Standard widget fields are also detected directly on pages, including when a splitter removed the root form list. If the fields were flattened into page artwork or their saved values were deleted, those answers cannot be recovered as form data.
No. Each run accepts one PDF and exports its saved field values. Calculations and PDF scripts are not run. Save the completed form in your PDF viewer before exporting, so the stored answers and totals are current.
No. Form detection, preview and spreadsheet creation run in your browser. Download the result before closing the tab.
