Invert PDF Colors explained
Invert PDF colors to create a negative version of text, images and graphics. White becomes black, black becomes white, and colored content changes to complementary RGB values. The inverted page appears automatically in the live preview; switch between Original and Preview to compare. Convert the whole PDF or selected pages into a separate image-based PDF at a fixed 200 DPI.

Inversion across all page content
Every RGB color is inverted across the page, including text, backgrounds, photographs and diagrams. There is no palette to configure: the negative-color preview appears when the PDF opens. Original and Preview above the page switch between the two appearances without uploading the file. Page navigation and zoom let you inspect the details.
Open Pages to include to enter a range such as 1-3, 5, or leave it empty for the whole document. Select Start to create a new PDF at a fixed 200 DPI. All included pages are inverted, and the original file stays unchanged. The result contains page images, so its text is no longer directly selectable.
Inversion complements every color. For a custom text and paper pair, use PDF Dark Mode or Color PDF. Compare photographs and diagrams before downloading because their colors also change.
Choose the pages you need
Process the whole document or enter specific page numbers and ranges.
Page ranges and numbering
Use PDF positions, starting at 1, rather than numbers printed on the page. A list such as 1, 3-5 includes four pages. A blank range uses every page. Check the preview when the document includes a cover or differently numbered chapters. Only the chosen pages are included in this conversion.
Save adjusted pages at 200 DPI
The new PDF contains rendered page images.
Image output and selectable text
This tool saves the adjusted pages as images in a new PDF at 200 DPI. Existing text becomes part of those images. It does not create a new searchable text layer or restore detail missing from the source. Use PDF OCR afterward if you need recognized text.
Review your finished PDF
Preview the result before downloading and sharing it.
Preview, download and revise
Select Start when the settings are ready. On the result screen, Preview opens the generated PDF and Download saves a separate copy. Back returns to the current workspace; Start over clears it for a new file. Review small text, page edges and page order in the finished copy. A new PDF does not preserve the validity of an existing digital signature.

Server processingIs a PDF color inverter the same as a night-mode reader?
This tool creates a new PDF with inverted page colors; it is not a temporary reader setting. Its pages are images, so keep the original if you need selectable text.
What happens to photographs and page backgrounds?
All page colors are inverted, including photographs and backgrounds. White becomes black, black becomes white, and other RGB colors become their complements. Use Original and Preview to compare locally, then convert all pages or a selected range. The result contains page images rendered at a fixed 200 DPI. For custom foreground and background colors, use PDF Dark Mode or Color PDF.
What are the file and page limits?
Open one PDF up to 50 MB and 200 source pages. Protected files need an unlocked copy unless this tool explicitly offers password entry. Large or complex pages can require more memory or reach processing limits even when the file is within these limits.
Where is my document processed?
This tool uses our servers for processing. Your original file is not overwritten; the result is a separate download. Preview and review the result where available, and download the copy you need before starting over.
